Océ N.V., a global supplier of digital printing systems and document management services, had grown through acquisitions into a company with a highly mixed IT landscape and diverse processes that limited its ability to act quickly. To regain agility the company launched the SPINE program to create a flexible, SAP-based IT architecture and harmonize business processes, roles and data worldwide.

Using the ARIS suite to model, communicate and document processes, Océ standardized applications and infrastructure and created global master data, making ARIS the “single point of truth.” The effort cut process variations by up to 30%, reduced management and implementation costs, strengthened business–IT alignment, and delivered a clearer application portfolio and comprehensive ICT strategy.
