Sichuan Languang Development Co., Ltd. (BRC), established in 1990, operates more than 390 properties with over 20,000 employees. Over time its process documentation swelled to 8,000+ documents (about 8 million words), making it difficult to find and update procedures, monitor system rollouts, and efficiently onboard and train staff—creating risks across HR, finance and supply chain processes.
In 2019 BRC implemented Software AG’s ARIS (Design & Strategy and Rollout & Change Management) to centralize and visualize processes, clarify roles and relationships, and establish ongoing process governance. The program increased overall process efficiency by about 50% and individual productivity by 32%, reduced headquarters staff from over 700 to just over 300 as roles were redeployed, made documents and responsibilities easily discoverable, and established analytics and a process‑mining proof of concept to further align processes with business goals.
