Preview of the Bossini Case Study

Bossini advances its supply chain strategy with the webMethods ESB

Bossini Enterprises, a Hong Kong–headquartered apparel retailer with more than 1,000 stores across about 30 countries, needed better real-time visibility into orders, shipments and SKUs to stay competitive in a fast-moving fashion market. Data was siloed across POS, WMS, legacy platforms and different Oracle versions, making it difficult to synchronize information and monitor operational performance.

Bossini implemented Software AG’s webMethods Enterprise Service Bus as the backbone of a service‑oriented architecture to standardize interfaces, speed integration and enable real‑time synchronization between POS and WMS. The project cut factory order allocation from three days to one, reduced month‑end closing from 25 to 7 days, increased IT/developer productivity by up to 30%, and delivered ROI within 18 months—contributing to a 19% revenue rise and 25% gross profit increase in the reviewed period—while enabling new capabilities such as shipment and sales monitoring, SMS alerts and cross‑market stock‑on‑hand reporting.
