A Software AG Case Study
BOK Financial, a $23 billion regional bank headquartered in Tulsa with operations across eight states, needed to modernize check processing after the Check 21 Act enabled electronic clearing. The bank faced high courier and development costs, slow deposit access, and complex, duplicated integrations across multiple back‑office systems.
BOK built a centralized Check 21 engine on Software AG’s webMethods ESB Platform to ingest and process check images (including Remote Corporate Capture) through a single integration hub. The system handles up to 4.5 million images per month, cut integration costs by as much as four times, saved millions annually (including ~$500K in courier savings), improved float by over $20 million a day, enabled same‑day clearing, faster issue resolution, and increased accuracy and productivity.
