Boehringer Ingelheim is a global, research-driven pharmaceutical company operating in human and animal health with over 44,000 employees. Working with Software AG/IDS Scheer, Boehringer Ingelheim implemented the ARIS-based enterprise architecture framework and a unified, tool-based repository plus state-based scenario planning and interactive drill-down views. The solution created a single source of truth that improved portfolio management and cross-functional transparency, enabled impact analysis and dependency checklists for projects, supported decision-making with scenario planning, and revealed consolidation and harmonization opportunities across processes, applications and infrastructure.
