SoftServe worked with TIBCO Jaspersoft to build a network security reporting solution for a global IT company facing extreme big data demands. The challenge was to deliver flexible, high-performance reporting on Linux that could handle billions of log records per day from multiple intrusion prevention system devices.

Using Jaspersoft JasperReports Server, Jaspersoft APIs, Jaspersoft ETL, and related reporting tools, SoftServe integrated a self-service BI layer with dashboards, scheduled reports, and custom controls. The results were significant: development time was cut to seven months with a 25-person team, ramp-up dropped from an estimated seven weeks to three, development costs fell by about 25 percent, and reporting performance improved by 30–35 percent on average, reaching 100 percent faster in some cases.
