Leading Smart Home Technology Provider, a major smart home services company in the U.S. and Canada, wanted to turn positive customer interactions into growth opportunities by enabling its customer care and national inside sales teams to offer referral incentives at the end of calls. SoftServe helped define and scope a referral service solution to support this goal, including referral code generation and referral offer management.

SoftServe delivered a web-based referral platform with an MVP for agents to create and send referral codes, along with backend support for creating offers and allowing referred friends to redeem them. The solution was expanded with admin tools, reporting, bulk code sending, and social sharing capabilities. Early results were strong: the client estimated the initiative could add about $22M in annual value from improved customer satisfaction, and the new tool generated 43 new sales in the first few weeks of use.
