Qc playbook for public Safety software Solutions provider

Public Safety Software Solutions Provider, which serves more than 1,000 police departments, sheriff’s offices, communications centers, fire departments, and correctional facilities nationwide, needed to outsource quality control for a complex product with many functions and limited documentation. After a previous unsuccessful QC outsourcing effort, the customer turned to SoftServe for help with testing strategy, governance, and support for its public safety software solutions, including records management, computer-aided dispatch, mobile communications, corrections management, fire/EMS management, resource management, and data sharing.

SoftServe began with QA consulting and a detailed assessment of the client’s people, processes, tools, test environments, and risks, then created a QC Playbook covering test scope, test approach, environment setup, newcomer ramp-up, and mitigation plans. As a result, the client improved test process evaluation across projects, reduced ramp-up time for new QC engineers, and increased productivity and delivery predictability at the required quality level. SoftServe’s work also helped establish a strong partnership that continued into future projects.
