SoftServe worked with a global leader in labeling and packaging materials and solutions whose customer in the food freshness labeling market needed a smaller, more mobile system than a tablet. The challenge was to manage multiple applications in one device while reducing labor costs, improving date-coding accuracy and food rotation, and lowering supply costs with more durable thermal transfer labels.

SoftServe migrated the existing Windows CE application to an iOS/iPad platform, redesigning and building the app from scratch while handling planning, implementation, testing, and documentation. The team also introduced the .FreshMarx data format, ported all existing features, and enabled support for multiple printers, helping the client modernize the product for future market growth and improve operational efficiency.
