Language Learning Application Design for Vista Higher Learning

Vista Higher Learning, a privately owned language-learning publisher, needed to extend its Spanish learning product to mobile so introductory students could practice and communicate in real-life situations on both iOS and Android. To support this shift, the company partnered with SoftServe to improve usability and bring key features of its web-based learning product to mobile platforms.

SoftServe delivered the app in a 6-month, three-stage project: refactoring and optimizing the iOS codebase, building a matching Android app from scratch, and reworking both apps for a bookshelf model that lets users download books and individual lessons independently. SoftServe also enabled online/offline use, improved UX, and added sharing features, resulting in fully tested, scalable mobile learning apps with an intuitive interface and easier future content expansion.
