SoftServe worked with a leading provider of data security and multi-channel compliance that had recently acquired a company offering security risk management services. The customer needed to align post-merger operations, compare business models and processes, and assess how current IT applications supported the combined “as-is” business processes to identify gaps and integration risks.
SoftServe delivered a post-M&A review, IT diagnostics, and solution design using Porter’s value chain analysis, business model review, and gap analysis. The team evaluated the acquired company’s value chain, documented core business and IT gaps, and recommended next steps for business-process alignment and future “to-be” applications. As a result, the customer gained practical insight into post-merger risks, decided to repeat the review for another target before investing in “to-be” IT, and avoided development costs for applications that would not fit the acquired business model.
