Leading Bio Processor Manufacturer needed a way to transmit, store, and process high-frequency bio signal data from wearable devices without draining battery life on the wearable or the smartphone used as the edge device. SoftServe addressed this challenge with an IoT software development kit for bio sensors and bio processors, supporting real-time monitoring across smart wearable, mobile, and cloud environments.

SoftServe moved part of the signal processing to the wearable device DSP, reducing the amount of data sent over wireless channels and lowering battery consumption. The solution used fog and edge computing with BLE connectivity, Android smartphone support, and cloud storage/visualization, and SoftServe also automated testing of DSP signal-processing functions. As a result, the SDK doubled smartphone battery life and enabled extended device use for several days.
