Case Study: Pearson launches scalable SaaS education platform with SoftServe

A SoftServe Case Study

Preview of the Pearson Case Study

Educational SaaS Application for Pearson

Pearson, the international education and publishing company, wanted to launch a new SaaS application to help educators identify students at risk of dropping out and monitor their progress. SoftServe was engaged to modernize the application backend, improve performance and scalability, preserve the existing look and feel, and ensure support for multiple browsers and mobile devices within a very short three-month timeframe.

SoftServe delivered the “Prevent 2.0” application on a multi-tier SaaS architecture with multi-tenancy, reporting, integration with school information systems, and Single Sign-On. The solution was deployed in Rackspace and launched before the start of the school year, giving Pearson a scalable, fault-tolerant, high-availability product and helping avoid losing a full year of market presence; it also improved usability, performance, and mobility through a new web-based, cross-browser interface.
