Connected Healthcare App for Outcomes Based Healthcare (OBH)

Outcomes Based Healthcare (OBH), a company revolutionizing healthcare incentive models, faced the challenge of passively and continuously measuring patient-reported outcomes for people with diabetes without relying on costly, infrequent, and biased written surveys. They partnered with SoftServe to answer this question by developing an application that could harvest data from smartphone sensors to correlate phone usage patterns with health outcomes.

SoftServe developed the OBH Sense 360 native Android application using an agile scrum methodology. They utilized the Funf open sensing framework and cloud services from AWS and Parse to passively collect vast amounts of sensor data while carefully managing battery and memory consumption. Within the first iterations, SoftServe completed over 90% of the UI, and the successful delivery positioned OBH as a potential industry leader with a scalable solution for value-based healthcare.
