AWS-Based Microclimate Control for Nestlé

Nestle, the world’s largest transnational food and beverage company, needed a better way to measure temperature and humidity and control microclimates across its supply chain, including its own warehouses, partner facilities, and industrial sites. To meet this challenge, Nestle worked with SoftServe and its Smart Solutions team on an AWS-based project using cloud infrastructure and IoT technologies.

SoftServe implemented a microclimate control system built on Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, and Redshift, with customized dashboards, reporting tools, and three levels of notifications. The solution enabled Nestle to detect system breakdowns, remotely monitor and control warehouse conditions, and manage data from multiple control points, helping improve productivity, optimize processes, and reduce the risk of product deterioration.
