Architecture discovery identifies platform to address client requirements

Global Biopharmaceutical Company, a $4B+ global biopharmaceutical enterprise with affiliates worldwide, faced a fragmented web ecosystem of more than 100 product, affiliate, and campaign sites built on mixed technologies and without a centralized strategy. This created challenges around time to market, implementation and maintenance costs, quality, governance, PHI/PII handling, site isolation, publishing control, usability, and security. SoftServe was engaged to lead an architecture discovery and requirements analysis for a future platform and pilot site migration.

SoftServe recommended a CMS distribution-based platform using containerization for site isolation and operational efficiency, designed to fit the client’s secure infrastructure and support standardized PHI/PII practices, SSO, and improved content governance. The discovery, completed over five weeks, produced a clear implementation approach that the client chose to use for pilot sites before migrating the rest of the portfolio. The result was a scalable, more secure, and more efficient foundation for consolidating the client’s website ecosystem.
