A SoftServe Case Study
SoftServe worked with a public Legal, Compliance and Risk Management Company that needed to reduce technical debt and launch a new high-performance enterprise learning management system (LMS). The client’s goals were to migrate about five million users across 400+ client accounts from three legacy LMS platforms and scale the new solution to 10 million users over the next two to five years. To support this decision, the company asked SoftServe for an independent third-party architecture assessment of the proposed platform.
SoftServe performed an ATAM-based architecture evaluation using its proprietary practices and SEI-certified architects, combining top-down risk analysis with bottom-up product foundation review. In three weeks, SoftServe identified architectural risks, found functional gaps, and confirmed the proposed platform was a solid foundation for the new LMS. The assessment helped the client avoid potential costs and dissatisfaction, saving millions of dollars in direct investment and maintenance, while giving the team confidence to move forward under stronger project governance.
