Tiket.com, one of Indonesia’s largest ticketing and travel sites, needed a more reliable infrastructure partner to protect uptime, secure online payments, and defend against severe DDoS attacks. Its existing cloud setup could not keep pace with the traffic spikes and attack volume, putting revenue and customer experience at risk.

Softlayer stepped in with IaaS support, moving Tiket.com’s load balancer, adding bandwidth, and automatically placing a hardware firewall in front of the server when attacks were detected. With Softlayer, Tiket.com gained 3–4x more CPU and memory performance, handled major ticket sales surges, sold 1,000 tickets in 2 minutes and 5,000 tickets in 15 minutes, and supported more than 300 API requests per minute at peak.
