Struq, a global ad personalization platform, needed to upgrade its infrastructure to handle highly variable traffic and meet strict low-latency requirements for real-time ad auctions and personalization. The company turned to Softlayer and its high-performance cloud infrastructure, including bare metal servers and virtual compute instances, to support rapid scaling as demand changed.

Softlayer implemented infrastructure in Washington D.C. and later Amsterdam, giving Struq on-demand provisioning and low-latency performance. Using Softlayer’s Flex Images, Struq could move between physical and virtual environments and cut new server deployment by several hours per server; bare metal devices could be brought online in under two hours, and more than 100 servers are now provisioned by Softlayer.
