Ophthalmos Improves Information Security with the Use of SE ECM Suite

Ophthalmos, a pharmaceutical company focused on ophthalmologic products, faced a large volume of documents and difficulty controlling access and managing information securely. The company’s IT manager selected SoftExpert’s ECM solution (SE ECM Suite), citing its simple interface, flexible parameterization and the ability to store files directly in a database without reformatting.

SoftExpert implemented the SE ECM Suite to centralize document management, enforce version control, manage document validity and printed copies, and restrict user access; storing files in the database reduced the volume of physical and disparate electronic files. With only about 30% of files cataloged so far, Ophthalmos already reports stronger information security and tighter access controls, and plans to expand with additional SoftExpert modules (Action, Document [Physical File] and Competence).
