Corsan Enhances Management of Risks and Governance with SoftExpert

Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (Corsan), which serves about 6 million people in 316 municipalities, faced a rapid need to comply with Federal Law 13.303/16 requiring stronger corporate governance, transparency, risk management and internal controls. To meet these requirements the company created SUCIR and adopted ISO 31000/COSO-based methodologies, then sought a technological platform—selecting SoftExpert and its SoftExpert Suite (including SoftExpert GRC and SoftExpert Risk)—to support and scale its new governance and risk processes.

SoftExpert, working with partner ITSX, implemented an integrated, 100% web SoftExpert Suite with the SoftExpert GRC and SoftExpert Risk modules to map processes, automate controls and enable project risk management per PMBOK. As a result, Corsan says nearly all governance processes are now supported by the Suite, mandatory requirements under Law 13.303/16 were implemented, reporting and immediate risk analysis were greatly facilitated, and training costs were reduced thanks to clearly modeled, accessible processes.
