Precise Activity Tracking For Premium Sports Brand

SOFTEQ was engaged by one of the biggest and most famous sports brands in the world to prototype a cross‑platform mobile app that precisely times high‑speed sporting activities and delivers slow‑motion replays. The customer wanted split‑second timing, frame‑accurate start/end mapping and basic video editing on iOS (iPad mini) and Android (HTC One X / HTC One), and sought an outsourcing partner with strong mobile and embedded/hardware expertise.

SOFTEQ built an advanced proof‑of‑concept app that captures 60–120 fps video, produces slow‑mo playback, provides an accurate stopwatch and saves timed, edited clips (target: 3.5‑minute video at 60 fps, 1280×720). By resolving disparate device APIs and unstable FPS (in collaboration with HTC), and delivering on a fixed‑price, Agile engagement, SOFTEQ met deadlines, impressed the customer, and validated the technology for a planned market launch.
