NVIDIA needed an enterprise mobility solution — a corporate mobile app for smartphones and tablets plus a backend web service — to provide secure, cross-platform access (Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8 and Windows RT) to organizational contact and scheduling data across its 8,000-person workforce. NVIDIA engaged Softeq’s Mobile Apps Group to build the NVIDIA Contacts app and backend while meeting corporate information-security standards.

Softeq delivered four unified mobile apps with tablet-specific UIs, integrated with corporate contact management systems to provide full-text and fielded search, contact details, recent/favorites, floor-plan desk location, reporting hierarchies and conference-room availability. Softeq also implemented encrypted storage, HTTPS, authentication/PIN access and performance optimizations (memory management and backend/query tuning); the result was fast, secure access across NVIDIA’s 8,000-strong enterprise, improving usability, responsiveness and employee productivity worldwide.
