A Softeq Case Study
A leading railway operator in Poland needed Lenovo A3500-H tablets’ ROMs modified so the devices could securely communicate with a server-side app and support centralized remote application and settings management. The operator engaged Softeq to produce a low-level utility for ROM customization to meet corporate security and asset-management requirements within a tight timeframe.
Softeq developed a binary-level utility (without access to ROM source) that enables automatic email client setup, server-controlled blocking of tethering, factory reset and app removal, and a custom method for updating system packages without reflashing. Softeq delivered the solution on time and on budget, deploying it to 60 pilot Lenovo A3500-H tablets and enabling secure centralized app deployment and configuration across distributed staff locations.
