The client, a German consulting agency that helps SMEs and start-ups with corporate management, marketing and R&D, needed a seasoned technology partner to build a compact IoT-enabled device for accurate sports competition tracking, video recording and live streaming. SOFTEQ was engaged on a fixed-price basis to deliver the hardware, enclosure and schematic design, Wi‑Fi (within ZigBee spec) and indoor location integration, plus gyro-stabilized laser sensors to support use in schools, sports clubs and event agencies.

SOFTEQ delivered a multipurpose device with automatic laser calibration, high-precision laser optical sensors, Wi‑Fi, indoor positioning, video capture/streaming and social-network integration, solving gyro-stabilization via PWM control of step motors on standard GPIO microcontrollers. The team completed hardware development and sample manufacturing, shipped the device for client testing, and provided design, material and inspection documentation that meets IPC standards (IPC-2612, IPC-2221, IPC-7351B, IPC-4562, IPC-4101, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610), allowing the client to proceed with ETL, web and mobile development and pilot deployments.
