Lantech - Customer Case Study

Lantech, a global manufacturer of industrial stretch wrappers, needed a multifunctional specialist to build touchscreen-based operator controls and re-engineer embedded firmware without a detailed spec. Softeq was engaged to provide an experienced embedded engineer skilled in Linux and QML to design a QML-based front end, improve the back-end integration, and offer on‑ and off‑site firmware consulting.

Softeq implemented a QML-programmed UI with multi-parameter settings (load weight, shape, containment force, film specs, revolutions, patterns) and custom profile storage, while supervising and fixing critical issues in the back-end so the UI could drive controllers and diagnostics and use intelligent sensors. The result is a universal, modifiable embedded UI and a stabilized back-end; Lantech’s software needs have grown, the product line is expanding, and the client moved from a T&M engagement to a Dedicated Team with Softeq.
