Gantom, a U.S. manufacturer of special effects lighting for themed attractions, needed a partner to build a multiplatform mobile app to manage its proprietary DMX-compatible fixtures. Gantom hired Softeq to create the iOS/Android DMX Programmer so users could control professional lighting devices from a smartphone rather than a studio remote.

Softeq delivered the DMX Programmer on time and on budget: iOS and Android apps that configure color, brightness, modes, effects and device start addresses, and that communicate with fixtures via RS-485 signals generated through the phone’s audio port.
