The customer, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of computer printers and imaging equipment, needed a free service to stimulate buyer interest in its scanner product line by letting users quickly scan and manage fiscal receipts. SOFTEQ was engaged to deliver a web- and device-integrated solution that would provide fast scanning, accurate OCR, offline scanning, and server synchronization.

SOFTEQ implemented a web application with special device drivers that forward scanned images to a server for OCR, automatic categorization, reporting, import/export, folder organization, and secure HTTPS sync; the app also supports offline mode and Windows/Mac clients. The result is a scalable, extendable solution delivering fast, accurate receipt capture and management that supports the client’s scanners for individuals and small businesses across the U.S. and Canada, and the customer is satisfied and intends to expand the system with SOFTEQ.
