SOFTEQ was engaged by a US-based telecommunications company to build a multimedia streaming solution for digital signage. The customer needed a custom Android launcher, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and an Android image for mass production so that advertisers could remotely manage and broadcast content to LTE-connected screens in public venues.

SOFTEQ customized the Android OS, built a system app and mobile admin app, implemented OTA updates, GPS mapping, encrypted MQTT communications, and a certificate-generation system for secure device-server commands. SOFTEQ delivered the solution on time and on budget, the customer has begun mass production, and reported positive feedback on the team’s responsiveness and expertise.
