Daikin Industries Ltd launches smart thermostat device management with Softeq in 5-minute cloud monitoring cycles

The customer, Daikin Industries Ltd, a global manufacturer of HVAC systems, faced the challenge of expanding its Daikin One ecosystem. They needed to develop mobile and cloud web solutions to integrate new indoor air quality sensors with their smart thermostats and provide comprehensive remote control for both homeowners and dealers. They engaged the vendor, Softeq, to create these applications and a data management tool.

Softeq developed two mobile apps: one for dealers to install and configure sensors, and another for homeowners to remotely control their thermostats. They also built the WatchDog portal to monitor data from both devices and a support edition for troubleshooting. As a result, Softeq delivered the products on time, with both apps now available on major platforms, and continues to collaborate with Daikin on improvements.
