Brandwatch Technologies Inc., a global leader in brand security and product authentication solutions, worked with Softeq to upgrade an iOS mobile scanning app used for precious metal authentication. As Apple rolled out a newer iOS platform, the app needed a major overhaul to replace outdated APIs and libraries, update the Xcode and SDK versions, and refresh the UI code while keeping the verification workflow intact.

Softeq reworked the app by upgrading it to Xcode 6 and iOS SDK 8, adding 64-bit and iPhone 6/6+ support, applying a new UI design, restoring App Store publishing support, and re-integrating it with the web backend. The updated solution supports two-level product verification via QR code, encrypted barcode, serial number, and product image matching, and the customer reported satisfaction with both the result and the collaboration, leading to an ongoing partnership with Softeq.
