Global Semiconductor Company, a U.S.-based developer of computer processors and related technologies, needed a Windows software partner with deep engineering expertise to build a hardware-specific application for SME users with no dedicated IT staff. The company turned to Softeq to create a tool that would help manage PC security and performance across multiple Windows versions.

Softeq delivered a multi-utility Windows application with features such as scheduled shutdown/startup, Windows Update checks, backup, disk defragmentation, temporary file cleanup, USB access restrictions, and RAID, video streaming, and WiFi Display utilities. Built using a Waterfall process and localized into 22 languages, the app achieved stable performance on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, and was slated for launch on the customer’s support site.
