Android App For Nvidia Shield™ & Tegra Note™

NVIDIA needed an Android watercolor drawing simulator for its SHIELD and Tegra Note devices, with GPU-accelerated performance for realistic rendering and calculation. The project called for CUDA-powered processing and OpenGL-based output to handle the app’s complex drawing and watercolor effects.

Softeq delivered the solution by building a CUDA-powered watercolor app using GPU programming and OpenGL rendering. The app used five processing kernels to manage paper tiles, watercolor flow, drying, collisions, and final texture rendering, resulting in a high-performance simulator designed for NVIDIA’s hardware.
