SOFTEQ developed a geo-targeting and geo-tagging enabled iOS Deals Tracking App for an investor relations firm that provides web design, graphic design, and web marketing services. The customer needed a mobile partner with strong systems engineering and mobile app expertise to build an app that would track local deals and discounts and push timely notifications to users.

SOFTEQ delivered a client-server solution (MySQL, Web Services, Objective‑C/Java) that finds nearby deals, displays providers on Google Maps, and pushes notifications even when the app is not launched; the geo-targeting alerts users at roughly 15–20 m proximity and the app also supports category, distance, and context-based search. The implementation enabled the customer to offer exclusive local discounts via timely, location-based notifications, and was completed under SOFTEQ’s fixed-price, waterfall engagement.
