Leef Technology Ltd. sought to enter a sparsely served but promising niche for iOS-compatible external storage and needed a partner with strong embedded software, firmware and hardware skills. They engaged Softeq to develop iBridge — a USB/Lightning mass storage accessory plus a fully functional iOS app — to provide 16–256 GB external storage compatible with Apple devices and PCs.

Softeq designed the PCB and connector mechanics, implemented firmware (C/Assembler) leveraging Apple’s iAP2 over USB, ported FAT32 and SCSI layers, built the iOS app with the External Accessory Framework, and produced prototypes for validation. The iBridge was launched to market supporting backups, direct photo capture and media playback on iOS, delivered on schedule, exceeded customer expectations, and gained popularity among iPhone users constrained by internal storage and cloud‑security concerns.
