Preview of the Windows Phone Case Study

A Convenient Way For Tracking Running Progress And Performance

SOFTEQ was engaged to build a Windows Phone proof-of-concept sports app for casual runners and joggers to help them track running progress and performance. The brief required a Modern UI–compliant Windows Phone 8.1 app (C#, SQLite) with GPS-enabled tracking, stopwatch capability and Cortana voice control.

SOFTEQ delivered a Modern UI–compliant app running on Windows Phone 8.1 with GPS tracking, pre-set run types and surfaces, music and stopwatch options, post-session processing and Cortana integration. The app includes a Runs Dashboard (total kilometers, total runs, average pace), activity history and account settings—providing measurable run metrics and a validated POC that demonstrates the required tracking, voice-control and user-experience features.
