Case Study: Sampson Community College streamlines records access and moves toward paperless operations with Softdocs Etrieve

While taking steps to become paperless, Sampson Community College found new opportunities to improve common business processes

Sampson Community College, a 2-year public college in Clinton, North Carolina, needed a better way to manage decades of paper files that were taking up too much space and were difficult to search. The college also wanted to improve access to student records during high-volume periods like registration and advisement, and turned to Softdocs and its Etrieve solution.

Softdocs implemented Etrieve Content first in student services, with a rollout later planned for the business office and other areas, alongside Etrieve Forms, Etrieve Flow, and Serve. Within three months of security training, the system was fully operational in student services, giving advisors faster access to records and helping SCC reduce paper dependence, improve cross-departmental collaboration, and build a more efficient, paperless workflow.
