Wilkes Community College, a public two-year institution in Wilkesboro, NC, needed a better way to manage its paper-intensive processes and lacked workflow functionality across departments. After years of relying on manual, print-heavy methods and prior document management tools that fell short, the college turned to Softdocs for help with content management, electronic forms, and print customization.
Softdocs implemented its ECM platform to give staff shared access to electronic documents and streamline workflows in Admissions, Registration, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing. The result was improved efficiency, less paper handling, better customer service, and faster turnaround—most notably in Purchasing, where Softdocs reduced purchase orders from six printed copies to one and helped staff stay more caught up during fiscal year closeout.
