Case Study: Reed College modernizes document management and workflows with Softdocs Etrieve

Reed College integrated Etrieve by Softdocs™ with their campus portal to extend secure, anytime document access to the entire Reed community

Reed College, a Portland, Oregon liberal arts college, needed to replace an end-of-life document management system while also improving integration with its ERP and campus web portal. The college was also looking to modernize paper-heavy processes with electronic forms and workflow, and selected Softdocs and its Etrieve platform to support that transition.

Softdocs implemented Etrieve Content, Etrieve Forms, and Etrieve Flow, integrating them with Ellucian Banner and Reed’s IRIS portal through custom APIs and data integrations. The result was secure, anytime document access for the Reed community, faster department-by-department migrations, and a stronger foundation for e-forms, automated workflows, and future cloud deployment.
