Faced with a failing document management system, Carson-Newman University implemented Etrieve as an all-in-one ECM solution

Carson-Newman University, a Christian liberal arts university in Jefferson City, Tennessee, was relying on a legacy document management system that had declined in functionality over time. The aging ECM environment had become little more than an electronic filing cabinet, forcing staff back into paper-heavy processes and making it difficult to bring additional departments into electronic workflows. The university turned to Softdocs and its Etrieve platform to replace the failing system and support more flexible, campus-wide document management.

Softdocs implemented Etrieve as an all-in-one ECM solution, including Etrieve Content, Etrieve Forms, Etrieve Flow, and Doc e Serve, and helped migrate about 400,000 documents from the old system. The new platform enabled real-time workflows across departments, improved secure handling of sensitive information, and reduced copying, scanning, and inter-office mail. Carson-Newman University reported major time and paperwork savings, and Softdocs continues to support expansion of Etrieve across campus.
