Softdel worked with Leading Global Supplier, a leading global supplier of advanced electronic components and solutions, to address the need for a BACnet gateway that could connect its PoE-based lighting system with BACnet-compliant building management systems. The challenge was to enable seamless interoperability so the lighting solution could be monitored and controlled from a third-party BMS environment.

Softdel designed and developed the BACnet Gateway using its in-house BACnet stack and integration services, including BACnet object mapping with the device application. The solution enabled control, monitoring, scheduling, alarms, and event notifications for the lighting system, while supporting new BACnet lighting objects. As a result, Softdel enabled seamless communication between the lighting and BMS systems and helped deliver faster time to market through its in-house stack.
