Discovery Channel wanted a way to bridge its TV programming with online engagement for Curiosity, a documentary series built around intriguing “what if” questions. Softcrylic helped the customer create a Facebook app to capture viewer questions and connect the show’s audience with Discovery’s web and social presence.

Softcrylic implemented a Facebook App using Facebook Open Graph APIs, OAuth 2.0, custom fan page tabs, audience targeting, and reporting integrations with Facebook Insights and Omniture. The app was successfully deployed and linked to the Curiosity TV fan page, supported multiple browser environments, and enabled weekly reporting on engagement and traffic-driving metrics, helping increase customer engagement and retention.
