Homevalue Hardware, part of United Hardware with over 80 independent stores and a combined turnover above €400M, faced a highly manual billing operation that generated more than 155,000 vendor and customer invoices a year. The process required physical revenue stamps, manual AR invoice creation and high postage and handling costs, so Homevalue turned to SoftCo to solve its AP and eBilling challenges.

SoftCo deployed its Accounts Payable Automation and SoftCo eBilling, electronically capturing and auto-matching 155,000 invoices, integrating with the Integrity ERP, automating approvals and routing, and issuing legally compliant e-invoices to members. As a result of SoftCo’s solution, Homevalue cut invoice-handling times by 50%, reduced manual invoice generation/processing/distribution and postage costs by 90%, achieved straight-through processing and full AR visibility, and lowered its invoice processing backlog by about 30%.
