Softcat’s Azure AAA service establishes firm foundation for Citadel Chambers’ cloud migration

Citadel Chambers, one of Birmingham’s longest established legal practices, was relying on ageing on-premise IT infrastructure and wanted a more modern, secure, and resilient alternative. After working with Softcat PLC on a previous Office 365 project, IT Manager Stefan Gates turned to Softcat PLC to help evaluate a cloud-based Microsoft Azure approach, including visibility of spend, automation, and simpler infrastructure management.

Softcat PLC implemented its Azure Automated Adoption Accelerator (AAA) service to plan and deliver a rapid migration to Azure, covering networking, virtual machines, security, Azure Site Recovery, SQL Server backup, storage, and VPN connectivity. The solution was completed in a single day and gave Citadel Chambers improved resilience, agility, scalability, and secure access to systems from any location, while also reducing the time and effort needed to manage the migration.
