RelyOn Nutec, a global safety, survival and skills training provider for offshore workers, needed a replacement for its legacy backup system after spinning out from Falck Safety Services. The company was struggling with time-consuming daily backup management, limited visibility across most of the network, and the need to protect more than 50 TB of Windows file server and AWS data with a more modern, cost-efficient approach. Softcat PLC worked with Druva to recommend a cloud-native backup and recovery solution.

Softcat PLC implemented a cloud-first data protection strategy using Druva’s cloud-native backup and restore platform for RelyOn Nutec’s Windows file servers and AWS workloads. The result was 100% visibility into Windows server backups, 62X deduplication that enabled backup of 40% more servers, and full backups completed in just 8 minutes, saving around 30 hours per month. The new single dashboard also improved recovery, employee mobility, and disaster recovery capabilities.
