Annex Risk is a technology-forward startup focused on high-risk homeowners insurance in catastrophe-exposed coastal markets, facing limited underwriting capacity and slow legacy processes. To launch a fully digital homeowners product in Texas and Florida and give retail agents fast, accurate access to coverage, Annex Risk selected Socotra’s platform as the central hub and built a flexible orchestration layer around it.

Using Socotra’s API-centric policy administration platform and integrations (payments, e-signature, inspections), Annex Risk implemented end-to-end digital quoting, binding, endorsements and billing. Socotra helped compress time to market—Annex Risk went from a verbal capacity commitment to selling a complex product in four states in under six months—and enabled instant quote-and-bind workflows that cut turnaround from days to minutes (under two minutes in many cases), while allowing a small team to scale operations and connect capacity providers to high-quality risks.
