MS Amlin selects Socotra for new digital SME insurance initiative

MS Amlin Insurance, a global (re)insurer and subsidiary of MS&AD, needed to launch a digital-first SME insurance platform across multiple European markets while integrating with legacy systems and drastically shortening time-to-market. To meet that challenge, MS Amlin Insurance selected Socotra as its core backend system, using Socotra’s cloud-native core platform and open APIs to support a modern, digital distribution approach.

Socotra implemented its modern core platform and open APIs to integrate with MS Amlin Insurance’s legacy systems and centralized data store, enabling a fully digital backend that supports real-time quotes and rate changes and can be deployed remotely. The Socotra deployment accelerated product development timelines, improved agility and customer/broker experience, and positioned MS Amlin Insurance to launch SME products (fleet, commercial liability, property and packages) in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and France, with end-to-end offerings expected in H1 2021.
