Ledgebrook, a tech-forward Excess & Surplus (E&S) managing general agent, confronted the limitations of legacy systems that slowed innovation, required months and large teams for simple changes, and led to frequent manual NAICS overrides and pricing inefficiencies. To modernize quoting, underwriting, and pricing processes, Ledgebrook partnered with Socotra and adopted Socotra Connected Core™ as its core platform.

Leveraging Socotra Connected Core™, Ledgebrook built an API-enabled backend, a streamlined underwriting workbench, and integrations with OpenAI for NAICS generation and Verisk rating content, plus a custom rating app on AWS. The Socotra-based solution enabled a product launch in three months, improved NAICS classification accuracy from ~60% to ~80% within two weeks (with plans to reach ~95%), delivered real-time quoting and analytics, reduced manual overrides and premium leakage, and significantly improved broker experience and speed to market.
