A Socio Case Study
The National Speakers Association faced the challenge of turning its Winter Workshop 2021 into a safe, engaging hybrid event that combined a small in‑person component with a larger virtual audience while solving AV, production, and attendee‑engagement hurdles. To do this they partnered with Socio and production partner Video West, choosing Socio’s event platform (including Socio RTMP Player, gamification/Compete, session chat, social wall, and Socio Professional Services) to create a unified experience for both audiences.
Socio’s platform and onsite Professional Services worked with Video West and NSA’s emcees to run live broadcasts, drive networking, and gamify engagement. The result: 6,740 user contributions (an average of 32 per attendee), 1,578 completed Compete challenges, 700,000 combined sponsor banner impressions, and the event exceeded revenue goals — demonstrating Socio’s ability to bridge hybrid audiences and boost measurable engagement.
