VetSource, a Portland-based home delivery service for pet pharmaceuticals, needed to convert its annual in-person GTM sales and marketing kickoff to a fully virtual event due to COVID. Senior Manager Julie Honse sought an event management platform that could host live streams and agendas, enable robust networking and gamification, and demonstrate sponsor ROI — and chose Socio’s end-to-end event management platform and Professional Services to execute the pivot.
Socio helped VetSource design a TV-quality two-day virtual program using features like the RTMP Player, Live Display, gamification, integrated virtual lounges (via Wonder), live session chat/Q&A, sponsor profiles, and a post-event data dashboard. The event drove strong results: 193 attendees made 2,500+ connections (about 13 each), nearly 1,600 lounge visits, 300,000 total game points across 75 challenges with 2,000+ completed challenges, and $14,000 more sponsorship revenue than the prior in-person event, plus roughly 100,000 banner impressions per sponsor tracked via Socio.
